Saddam Hussein led a genocide but against who? 1980-90 and 1987-88?

im doing a paper on genocide and i picked saddam hussein as my topic, i know the genocides occured around 1980-90 and another from 1987-88. any other facts or details that could help me write this freakin thing. i also need a good thesis statement.
