Why do British drunks behave more aggressively and bolshie than their continental counterparts?

My experience, on numerous occasions is that the Continentals get just as drunk, especially the Germans, but generally speaking they are happier and more friendly when stewed than we Brits. When the Brits, along with Irish get blocked they all want to be tough guys and fight everyone; the police, medical staff, firemen, little old ladies. What's the problem?
