How is the Northern hemisphere tilted toward the sun during spring?

It isn't tilted. Spring and fall, the Earth's axis is at right angles to the Sun's rays, so that both hemispheres get equal light and heat. It's midsummer and midwinter when the Earth's axis is tilted towards and away from the Sun.
