Is there a way that a 50 year old man can get to start college if he didn't finish school. ?

A local state school would probably take him. My school just asks that you talk to someone from admissions about the possibility. Try looking at websites of your local colleges to see about requirements; you could probably even email a question and they would respond pretty quickly. Good luck!
