I want to get a goldfish! What do i need?

Me and my roommate want to get two very small goldfish and a small gl fish bowl. will the fish be okay in there? Do i need to get stuff for the water, or distilled water? I have no idea what im doing, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Also our home is really cold, no matter what we do it stays at a constant sixty-or so degrees. Will this be a problem??
